We use only the highest-grade quality ingredients available. Our recipes contain no "just add water" directions, imitation flavorings, or anything purchased in bulk. We spent years perfecting our renowned buttercream icing using farm-fresh butter and pure vanilla extract.

Tiered cakes are built in increments of 25 servings, with a minimum of a 50-serving, two-tiered cake. We provide a box with freezing instructions to preserve your top "anniversary" tier so that it will taste fresh a year later. The price includes a wide selection of elegant designs and an optional set of columns.

Cake Toppers & Stands

Cake toppers are not included in the price of the cake. In the event you choose to have columns on your cake, you will need to consider what type of decorations you'd like for the top tier as well as the divider plate between the columns. Special gold-plated or Lucite tiered wedding cake stand and fountain assemblies are available for rent from $75, plus a refundable deposit equal to the replacement value of the item rented. A Rental Agreement, fee, and deposit are required at the time the order is placed.

Open House

Creative Cakes hosts a monthly Open House, January through November, from noon to 3:00. Enjoy sampling our delicious assortment of cake flavors and looking at some examples of our designs. Consultants are on hand to answer questions and assist in your decision-making process. Our very popular Open Houses tend to get crowded, so feel free to taske our cakes and make an appointment for a private one-on-one consultation. Some of the area's finest wedding vendors are also on hand to make your open house experience a true one-stop shopping trip for all your wedding needs. Delicious cake flavors with our renowned buttercream icing include: Almond, Chocolate, Butter Rum, Lemon, Mandarin Orange, Banana, Vanilla, White Chocolate, Spice, Vanilla Marble, Chocolate Rasberry, Chocolate Almond. We continually offer new flavors (see specialty flavors). Creative Cakes also offers cream cheese icing, chocolate icing, and rolled fondant overlays for an additional fee.

Deposits & Payments

A deposit of $100 is required to confirm your wedding cake order. The balance is due 14 business days prior to delivery or pick-up. Payments made fewer than two weeks prior to delivery will be accepted with Visa, MasterCard or American Express only. No refunds will be given on orders cancelled fewer than 15 days prior to the event day. Non-tiered cakes are to be paid in full at the time order is placed.

On a Budget?

Having a large party of more than 175 guests? Select a three tiered wedding cake to serve 100 and add an undecorated sheet cake, iced and marked to serve 70 guests at $75 per cake.
Note: This option is available only when ordering a tiered cake to serve 100 guests or more.

Delivery

The minimum charge for delivery is $35. Fees to certain locations may require a premium (e.g., high security military or federal sites, historical sites, residences. We have delivered to most facilities in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, so your special day will appear seamless to you since experts are taking care of every administrative aspect. A delivery surcharge will be charged for Sunday, holiday and post-4 p.m. deliveries.
