Creative Cakes, established in 1981, provides custom wedding cakes baked with the freshest ingredients, decorated with our popular buttercream icing. We will work with you to ensure the perfect cake for your special day.
Tiered cakes are ordered in increments of 25 servings, with a minimum 50-serving, two-tiered cake. The top tier is your "anniversary tier", and a box with freezing instructions to preserve the top tier is provided with your cake.
The cost of your wedding cake includes a large selection of elegant designs and one set of 3" or 5" Grecian pillars or 4-1/2" swan pillars to separate your top tier.
Cake Toppers
Cake toppers are not included in the price of the cake. Creative Cakes carries a small selection of ornaments for purchase or you may provide your own ornament. Prices for our ornaments or icing floral arrangements vary.Special gold-plated or lucite tiered wedding cake stands and fountain assemblies are available for rent from $75, plus a refundable deposit equal to the replacement value of the item rented.
A signed Rental Agreement, the rental fee, and the refundable deposit are required at the time the order is placed.
Budget Wise
Having a large party of more than 175 guests? Select a three-tiered wedding cake to serve 100 and add undecorated sheet cakes, iced and marked to serve 70 guests at $75/cake. This is common!Note: This option is available only when ordering a tiered cake to serve 100 guests or more.
Delivery
The minimum charge for delivery is $35. Fees throughout Washington DC and Northern Virginia average between $35 and $55. Fees to certain locations may require a premium (e.g., high security military sites, historic sites, residences).Requests for deliveries later than 4:00 p.m. are subject to a surcharge.
Deposits and Payments
A deposit of $100 is required to confirm your order. The balance is due 14 business days prior to delivery or pick-up. Payments made fewer than two weeks prior to delivery will be accepted in cash, certified check, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express only.Open Houses
Enjoy sampling our delicious assortment of cake flavors at one of our monthly Open Houses. Creative Cakes hosts an Open House one Sunday a month, January through November from Noon to 4:00 p.m.Consultants are on hand to answer questions and assist you in your decision-making process. Our popular Open Houses tend to get crowded. Feel free to taste our cakes and make an appointment for a one-on-one consultation.
Some of the area's finest wedding vendors are also on hand to make your open house experience a true one-stop shopping trip for all of your wedding needs.
